Exclusive Silent Hill Heading To Wii

-No, this is not an April Fool's joke.-

According to IGN, Konami today cleared up the rumors that had been circling around the web about a remake of Silent Hill on the PS2 coming to the Wii. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will be far removed from its PS2 brother, according to Konami.

Some quotes from the IGN article:

This is a reimagining of the first Silent Hill," says producer Tomm Hulett in his Nintendo Power interview. "It's not a remake or a port. That's an important distinction. It really feels like a new game."

Another major element within the game is that it watches you, and will actually react to how you play. Your behavior dictates the action, so to speak, with the game always aiming to not only get into the protagonist's head, but "Your head" as well, according to Hulett.

So it has been confirmed that it is an all new Wii game, not a port or remake, and it is also quite different from its brothers. Sounds interesting enough to make me want more info.
